As the title say, my overlays doesn't work anymore (that's ALL Adrenaline overlays, including in-game interface, indicator and performance overlay).
The last working version was 2.5.1 and it always works again if I reinstall it.
I tried with 2.6.1, 2.7.1, 2.8.1, AFMF2 preview drivers (both version), overlays never work.
I tried those with a standard upgrade and with a full driver cleanup.
I also tried a few tricks like running Adrenaline as administrator, but nothing made a difference.
This is with a 7900XTX on Windows 10 22H2.
Any help would be appreciated.
In 24.8.1 there are two places where the Overlay can be enabled. Does yours show as enabled but simply not appear on the screen? Or will the toggle not enable? How is the overlay broken?
Performance, Metrics, Overlay, Enable
Performance, Settings, Enable Overlay
it shows as enabled in the interface but doesn't appear on the desktop or in-game.
This is true for Metrics Overlay you posted, but also for the In-Game Overlay:
And also the Recording Indicator:
Basically, none of the overlays work.
All of them work fine in 21.5.1 (and previous) with the same configuration.
Overlays are still broken with 24.9.1
I have the same issue. Overlay, recording, and motion fluid frames stopped working ingame few months ago. Cleaned the drivers with amd cleanup utility, tried many versions - only 24.3.1 works. If i update from amd software or instal clean but different version - overlay stops working. Spend many nights looking for answer but no luck. It may happened when i started tinkering with super resolution
W10 22h2 and 7800xt
I never used Super Resolution so that might not be related.
AFMF is still working on my side though, it's active in Cyberpunk 2077.
I am having the same issue. I don't know if 24.5.1 works, but it surely does not work in the last 2 or 3 driver versions since I tried everything: uninstalling, cleaning up, reinstalling different versions. I can't get the overlay to show either in desktop or games. Windows 10 22H2. Radeon RX 6700 XT
I have the same issue, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It usually takes a lot of pc reboots for it to finally stop working again. No idea what causes it.
Hi,
I'm running Windows 11 23H2 with the latest 24.10.1 drivers and according to the overlay, I can't seem to maintain a constant 60fps in any games where as I could easily before. I see the FPS and frametime going up and down every refresh of the overlay. It's the weardest thing ever. In the last year, I've never had that problem. I was running the 24H2 earlier this month with the same driver and it was doing the same thing. I've even changed my DisplayPort cable to a (supposedly) much better one thinking it could be that but nope.
Hope AMD fixes it soon.
Thanks.
This seems like a different problem, your overlay displays but you are getting inconsistent/wrong readings.
My issue is the overlay not showing up at all.
Still broken on 24.12.1.
Same here. Updated to 24.12.1, restarted the system just in case, tried to enable the overlay. It doesn't work, it doesn't show at all.
I am afraid that if we are just a few affected people then AMD won't patch this for us in a long long time. I think it is a bug in their software, because absolutely everything else works fine in my system, but it seems to be some edge case that only affects a few people. I sent a complete report to AMD with my issue and system details a month ago or so but I never got any reply back on that.
