9070XT and Zoom Workplace issue

Dear AMD staff,
I would like to inform you of what may be a compatibility issue with the 9070XT; specifically, involving Zoom Workplace.

I just switched my GPU to the RX 9070 XT this afternoon. After installing the GPU, I downloaded and installed AMD Windows Driver (Version 32.0.13031.2000) alongside the Adrenaline software suite (Driver Version 24.30.31.02-250212a-412851C-AIB). I did some benchmarking, and the system has been stable---thank you, it's been a fun experience.

However, when hosting a client meeting via Zoom this evening, I noted that their video was frozen during the Zoom call. I did find a work-around in that when sharing screens the user-videos would act as expected. However, in the standard main room of Zoom, again their video would freeze.
Whilst this is not urgent for me personally, as there is a work around, I imagine it may affect others. I would appreciate it if you could investigate if this issue can be resolved on your end, or whether it is an idiosyncrasy on my end.
If you require any system specific information please ask, or perhaps it may be a quirk of remnant Nvidia drivers.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew J Barnes

I also saw this issue for Zoom happen as well and it got pretty annoying. Essentially whenever any receiving video was a certain "size", whether full screen speaker or if I had only a few people in a meeting and it was taking more real-estate, 1 person seemed to freeze periodically. Oddly it happened to be the same person repeatedly, and I discovered that reducing the size of their video window would fix their freezing. So, there's something with the receiving video that isn't consistent, but is repeatable more often than not.

To fix this, if you turn off Hardware Acceleration for receiving video, it will resolve the issue until AMD can get around to resolving it in all situations.

Preferences -> Video -> Advanced button -> Uncheck Receiving video.

Let us all know if this resolves it for you as well!

Sorry, for the delayed reply. I had another meeting after updating the driver earlier this week, but before I saw your message. Same problems. However, when I tested it through joining a meeting on my smartphone this evening, there was no issue with or without video acceleration, so I guess it's possible that Zoom have patched it on their side.

I will try your suggestion on Thursday when I have another meeting scheduled.

Thanks

Updated the driver to 25.3.1, issue is as yet unresolved. Will try turning off hardware acceleration in next meeting.
