Hello, I recently bought a Red Devil 6800 XT and it's been great so far. For audio I have been switching between my SteelSeries headset and the Realtek audio on my motherboard (which was outputting to a home theater amp). Well, my amp died yesterday, leaving just the SteelSeries as the only option in Windows. I do have my PC connected to a Sony 4k tv, so I figured I would try the HDMI output through the tv speakers until I find an alternative solution to my deceased amplifier. However, looking into my Win11 sound options, there is nothing available for HDMI.
I did some searching and found someone recommending that I remove all of the AMD drivers and software, reboot into BIOS, disable the onboard audio for the motherboard, then relaunch Win11 and reinstall the drivers. I did this and the HDMI audio is still not an option. When going into the device manager, I can see the AMD Audio Device in the Sound, Video and Game Controllers section. Going into properties for that device I get this message...
Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&REV_1008\7&26c0c55d&0&0001 had a problem starting.
