I picked up an MSI 5700 XT on Friday, downloaded MW3 and booted it up.
First game I played, I got 10 seconds in and it crashed and came up with a driver timeout issue.
I used DDU and fresh installed the driver, as well as reinstalling shaders for the game and I was able to play a couple games before it happened again. During those games I was getting weird RGB flashes of light but I don't know if that's an issue with the game graphics settings or the GPU.
Since Friday, it's been happening no matter what I do. I might get one or two games in but it'll happen eventually.
I've tried:
- Rolling back to previous drivers
- Clean installing previous and current drivers
- Driver only install, not with Adrenalin.
- Changing game settings.
- Using MSI Kombustor to check temps, all within normal ranges, peak was 83/84 after 10 mins.
- Underclocking.
I'm not sure what else to do so any help would be appreciated.
