I have tested the latest preview GPU driver and these are my findings on my 7900xt. I am also adding the link if someone else wants to test the driver:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-2340-01-10-preview
- gpu clock spikes in low usage seem to be fixed
- video upscale gets disabled after restarting the pc and cannot be enabled again
- crashes when left in idle for a long time still occur (I wasn't able to find a clear rule on how to reproduce this)
Here is a screenshot from the first crash that I had. The second one, a few hours later was with a black screen.
Initially it crashed with the error: Display driver amduw23g stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
After recovery, I tried to start Adrenalin again but got the second error.
