23.10.X Driver not installing for iGPU on my laptop!

Hello,

I am unable to install both AMD Drivers 23.10.1 and 23.10.2 properly on my laptop. I have noticed that it is not installing the drivers for my iGPU, and only installing it for dGPU (check screenshots below). I have tried doing a lot of things, which are:

  1. Used DDU to remove existing drivers and then installed it.

  2. Used AMD Utility and then installed it.

  3. Used both DDU and then AMD Utility, just to be sure.

  4. Tried Drivers only as well as Full install options.

  5. Literally reinstalled Windows 11 and tried installing it on a completely fresh Windows 11 build.

As you can see in the screenshot, it is asking me to visit AMD's website to install the driver, while it should do it itself.

The only way I can install 23.10.2 (or 23.10.1) is if I install it over 23.9.X versions but even then, the experience is horrible because it updates only dGPU driver and the iGPU driver remains in older version.

Laptop Specs-

Ryzen 7 5800H

RX 6600M GPU

Also tried Windows 10 but the same issue is happening there. So, is there some compatibility issue for laptops, especially the one with Ryzen 7 5800H and RX6600M?

If I were you and I tried all that you have, I would go to the manufacturers support page for your laptop and try downloading the drivers there.

Then, I would try using the update tool in the Adrenalin software suite. If this doesn't work, hopefully someone else knows more than me.

I just know many times these drivers do not work on laptops regardless of the brand. I have seen this many times over and the solution is usually to reinstall from the OEM and work from there. Sometimes new drivers just don't work on laptops. It is frustrating, and I hate to say it.

Actually, my laptop manufacturer (i.e., MSI) is still having v22 drivers in their website, which doesn't work properly anymore for me.

Apart from that, it seems AMD have not released 23.10.1 and 23.10.2 for laptop iGPUs yet, at least for 5000 series (tested on Ryzen 7 and 9) and lower. Older versions (23.9.2 and earlier) are working fine but the ones from 23.10.1 aren't.

I am wondering if they discontinued support for them? It will be kinda annoying to update both iGPU and dGPU separately, in times when I want to remove the drivers completely using AMD Utility or DDU.
