Initially figured this to be in only games, but in i.e. YouTube all the same. Fresh start, sound via AMD HD Audio Device on HDMI port towards Sony 4K-TV sounds good. After hibernation however, sound is scrambled (like being to far away from an antenna in analogue radio). I bought a new HDMI cable to ensure that wasn't the culprit.
Seen this behavior at least in Adrenalin 19.7.1 through 19.8.1.
Hardware: Intel NUC8i3CYSM which has an AMD Radeon 540 included
BIOS: Updated to the latest version (0042) and besides that still at configuration from factory.
Drivers: All drivers are the latest version as from Microsoft Catalog, w./ AHCI 17.5.2.1024 and of course Adrenalin 19.8.1 since recent coming from the direct support sites.
Settings GFX:
- Radeon FreeSync: Not Supported
- Virtual Super Resolution: On
- GPU Scaling: On
- Scaling Mode: Full Panel
- HDMI Link Assurance: On
- Color Depth: 12 bpc
- Pixel Format: YCbCr 4:2:2 Pixel Format
And as far as I know other settings are at default
