Can the AMD A10-7800 be upgraded? I've just learned about sockets and realized that the one I ordered is not compatible with the motherboard in my Lenovo H50-55 Tower MTM: 90BG003JUS. The computer will not be used for gaming or streaming. I intend to use it for a work-from-home job. It was given to me.

Well, it depends on your motherboard and to be honest how much you're willing to spend (both time and $$$).

Something tells me your motherboard features an FM2+ Socket. So, any FM2+ later-generation APUs will do the trick. That said, I suggest you consider the time and effort you'll have to put into this upgrade since the APU/System is about 10 years old.
