Ryzen 5 8500G game low fps

Hello everyone, I just built a PC with the following specifications:

  • Ryzen 5 8500G
  • MSI Pro B650M-B motherboard
  • 550W Bronze+ PSU
  • 16GB 6000MHz DDR5 RAM (Single Channel)
  • 1TB SSD

I tried playing GTA V at 1080p resolution with Normal graphics settings and HYPR-RX enabled, but I'm only getting 30-40 FPS. I’ve seen benchmarks on YouTube showing GTA V running above 60 FPS. I also tried playing Forza Horizon 4 at 1080p with Low graphics settings, but I'm getting 30-40 FPS, and only when I lower the resolution do I reach 60 FPS. Are my specifications incorrect, or is there a BIOS setting I need to adjust to optimize the processor?

Did you install the latest Adrenalin 24.10.1 driver update?

Right there's your problem. Running in single channel cuts the memory bandwidth in half. The IGP uses system memory for graphics. You want the fastest speed dual channel kit your system will support.

I didn't notice that.  Almost nobody buys just one stick of RAM anymore.

okaay, will try to add more memory. So because DDR5 can simulate as double channel, so I think it's okay la if using only single channel

You can use single channel memory but at reduced performance. When comparing to other results on YouTube realize that the majority of those systems are running dual channel.
