Ryzen 5 5600x not working in new pc

Hello,

I just finished setting up a new PC build with a Ryzen 5 5600x, MSI 3060ti, 32 GB DDR4 3200mhz memory, and an MSI mag b550 tomahawk motherboard.

While the PC receives power, it will not connect to my monitor to allow me to set up the computer.  On my motherboard there is a flashing red light next to the CPU icon, suggesting that the problem is with my CPU.  So far, I have ensured that all cables are properly connected and updated the BIOS from the motherboard to make sure it supports my CPU.  I have also unscrewed the CPU cooler (Stock) and made sure that the processor is correctly inserted and there is no damage to any of the pins.

Any help on what I could do next to try and resolve this problem?

You may need a BIOS update.

Ryzen 7 7700X, MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk Wifi, Corsair DOMINATOR® TITANIUM RGB 2x16GB DDR5 DRAM 6000MT/s CL30, Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Corsair HX Series™ HX1000, Corsair MP600 PRO NH 4TB

If your MSI Motherboard is just purchased it is a good chance it has the correct BIOS installed already.

You need BIOS Version that ends in "A7"  from 07/07/2021 so if your motherboard was manufactured after 07/2021 it should have the correct BIOS version that supports your Rzyen 5600X.

But luckily your Motherboard has the BIOS FLASH Button in the rear where you can update the BIOS simply by just turning on Power to the PC whether the PC Boots up or not with a Flash driver connected to the special BIOS USB Port in the rear of the Motherboard.

So just to eliminate BIOS I Suggest your update it to the latest version: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK/support#bios

If the CPU Trouble LED is still lit afterwards then disconnect all hardware from your Motherboard excpet PSU, CPU, and Windows Drive.

Turn power on and see if the CPU TRouble LED light goes on and then off and the DRAM Trouble LED light goes on.

This means that your CPU passed the POST test used by BIOS to check your processor and found no RAM installed thus the DRAM Trouble LED light being lit.

Next install one stick of RAM in DIMM Slot A2 and see if both the CPU and DRAM LEDs goes off and the GPU LED light up.

With the GPU LED lit the PC might still be booting into Windows so check to see if the PC HDD/SSD LED is flashing constantly or on solid indicating it is booting into WIndows.

BUt if you install one Stick of RAM and either the CPU or DRAM LED stays on that probably indicates your have a RAM Memory issue  such as bing incompatible or Motherboard issue.
