My PC do not have video after building

Hi maybe my answer is easy but I am beginer. My computer do not have video. I have a Ryzen 5 1600. I have my monitor conected directly to the board HDMI port. I do not have any graphics card. Do I need to buy  a card?

The Ryzen 5 1600 does not have a GPU built in.  Indeed, you will need to purchase and install a graphics card.

Thank you. I do not want excelent graphics. My son changed it for a new . I want to use it more time. I will buy a new card but I would like pay for a cheaper. Could you please say me wich to buy.
