Front Panel USB C Slow

So, I plugged in my front panel USB 3.2 gen 2 USB C and it is only running at maybe 40 megabytes per second. Task manager is reporting 100% usage on the external SSD, but when I use the rear USB C it is ten times as fast.

40MB/sec is USB 2 speeds.  The specs on your board shows the front type c is a 3.2 gen 2.

Something isn't adding up.

Is the board still under warranty?  If so I would be requesting an RMA.

If it ain't broke; don't fix it!

I just installed it everything else works well. If the front panel USB C cable was really twisted and man handled could it be damaged. I really had to force that cable to twist to fit since the motherboard header is right above the GPU, nearly inaccessible.

Realistically I would rather have a messed up cable than to the front panel than have to be without a motherboard for months on end.

Also if it is the motherboard would a damaged header effect the rest of the build if I opted to not use the front panel USB C
