Hi,

I am trying to build a PC that can hand some serious number crunching by running computation/analytical code 24/7 . My main aim is to reduce the time it takes to do the calculations. I am thinking of using AMD Ryzen 9 7900X as the processor since it has good base speed. 

My question is since I will be running the PC 24/7, do i use liquid cooling or air cooling? 

The current specs for the PC is:

Processor AMD Ryzen 9 7900X

Motherboard MB Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX

Ram DDR5 Corsair Vengeance 16GB 5200MHz (CL 40) - x2

SSD NVMe Seagate BarraCuda PCIe (ZP500CV3A002) 500GB - for the OS

SSD NVMe Seagate BarraCuda PCIe (ZP1000CV3A002) 1TB or 2TB - for data storage 

Cooler DeepCool AK620 Zero Dark

PSU 650W Cooler Master MWE 650 V2 Bronze

Case MSI MPG Velox 100P Airflow

From AMD Specs on the Ryzen 9 7900X Processor:

This is AMD Recommended CPU Coolers for Ryzen 7000 series processors with TDP 170 watts or higher:

You have a very high TDP rated processor at 170 watts so you will need a very powerful CPU Cooler to keep it from going above 95c when running 24/7. So AMD suggest you use one of the above AIO Liquid CPU Coolers to keep it from overheating.

NOTE: I notice that you won't be using a GPU Card so your PSU of 650 Watts should be sufficient for your needs. But if you plan on installing a GPU card in the future you will need to upgrade your PSU to at least a 850 watt metal rated PSU or higher.
