Agree with Axeman, it'll work without doubt, but you may not be getting the full potential of the RX 7900 XT. Still, PCIe Gen3 x16 bus bandwidth is not to be scoffed at, it might be hampered IF you go 8K and expect crazy high framerate, but at 1440P, your CPU would most likely be the bottleneck. 4K should be okay as well, but hey, this is an AMD forum, perhaps someone from the GPU tech department can help answer this, I'm also willing to learn.
So, in essence, you might, just might, not get the full potential of the card at 4K at high refresh rate, but I think it'd be still good. Only card that I've read about that might saturate the bus bandwidth is the RTX 4090, so the RX 7900 XTX would be good in that might not be able to fully saturate the PCIe Gen3 x16 bus bandwidth.
