Help!

So I’m new to PC gaming. I built my pc in April and have had little to no problems. I’ve played countless games on it anywhere from elden ring to dead space no problems what so ever. Fast forward to last night I downloaded the silent hill 2 remake and went to play it. I couldn’t even get into the main menu the game kept crashing. Now whatever game I open I get what I think is stutterings (video for reference) I also get them in some texts and on my screen saver. I’ve tried reinstalling my drivers I’ve restarted the pc countless times nothing seems to be working. Anyone have any tips on what could have happened and maybe a possible fix? Temps and cpu usuage are fine. 

the second picture is when I download the drivers on amd website and I try to factory reset or update my graphics card. My pc then begins to freak out 

My build is a 7900 XTX with a Ryzen 7700x 32 gb of ram.

I would say that something from that Silent Hill 2 game messed up your Adrenalin drivers.  I recommend you use Display Driver Uninstaller (running in Windows safe mode) to clean up the old driver artifacts and then install the latest Adrenalin 24.10.1 driver update.

Can you please show us the device manager and the tab with the installed driver?

What tab are you talking about?  You can look at the Display adapters tab and see what video card is recognized.  You can then look at the properties of that video card and see what driver(s) are installed.

Yep, your new game may have screwed windows somewhere too.  

Most common cause is your DDR Ram Clocking to high and writes Garbage back into windows dll or files thats really important that may not even be in the Radeon Software pack.  

First thing I would do is setup your DDR Speed to normal rating.  3200 3400 3600 etc.  no overclocks, no overvolt, no undervolts. etc.  Go by what the ddr sticker or sticks say.  

Then Go back in fix your Windows install.  Please remember windows 11 24x has a few bugs with some SSDs where it will crash your machine.  So far these are WD Black 770 and 990 SSDs.  Will run fine until its called for a 200mb cache that microsoft wrote for the drives, but the drive only supports 64mb  lmao..  And yes it will ruin your windows install.

You can try restoring windows, but sometimes that don't always work. windows only checks to see if the files are there and wont validate the files. which Sucks!!! That requires a Full reinstall.  

BTY, All the older Ryzens are getting a DDR/Processor Boost from win11 24H2 of about 12 percent.  Which is amazing.  Microsoft really got Ryzen processors sorted in this update.  Avg is 10 to 12 percent boost most noticed by your FPS count in Gaming.  

Also make sure your on the latest windows 11 24H2 because any new games you download will be for the latest win11 24h2...  23h 22h all had bugs. The Radeon Update is also for the new 24H2 version.  Really hate the way Microsoft is forcing you to Stay Up to date.  Its not like the older days, where You could run a older version without any hassle.

If you upgrade to 24H2 there are several bugs that happened with me. Update KB5044384 fixed my issues. I recommend getting that update ASAP if you are running 24H2.
