Which processor should I buy?

I've been toying with the idea of getting a new processor for a long time, since my previous one often noticeably reaches its limits. I've already looked at a processor, but since I'm not an expert in this area, I wanted to ask if anyone here can give me a recommendation for a processor that fits my system. it shouldn't exceed the $200 mark.

Would help to know your motherboard make & model, and current processor that you want to upgrade for.

Is that USD budget?
