So I have this idea.
Ryzen CPU's like low latency memory. If you have EXPO, great, but not everyone does.
There are not that not many different memory chips DIMM kits are made out of. Same settings work with many kits using same memory chips. How fast they work depends on how lucky you were in silicon lottery.
So I was wondering if people interested in memory overclocking/tuning, would like to share their memory settings. I was thinking something like posting following data from fastest stable settings that work with your system:
Hynix Some-Die, xxxx MHz, memory voltage, a picture or two with all the memory timings and subtiming from BIOS.
Micron Some-Die, xxxx MHz, memory voltage, a picture or two with all the memory timings and subtimings from BIOS
Samsung Some-Die, xxxx MHz, memory voltage, a picture or two with all the memory timings and subtimings from BIOS
I'll send my results when my new hardware finally arrives and I can do some testing, if anyone is interested.
It would be great if people posted what their EXPO setting for different memory chips are as this could serve as a good baseline for further tuning. Go to BIOS, make sure EXPO is enabled if your kit supports it. Go to memory settings and take pictures that show those settings.
I think this would be very helpfull for those without EXPO kits, basically what dram calculator was for DDR4.
