A Possible Bug With Linux, Folding@Home, ROCM 4.0 and 6900 XT

Please forward this to the OpenCL forum or let me know to repost it there...

I was running Ubuntu 20.04 and AMD ROCM 4.0 and a Vega 56 GPU with Folding@Home and it was working pretty well. I have been running this kernel: 5.10.13-xanmod1

Then this week I upgraded the GPU to a 6900 XT card. People say it ought to work. Graphics in games and such are working and simple OpenCL like Hashcat are working.

But, F@H core_22 never makes progress and spins at 100%. When I run gdb and attach to the process it is always stuck somewhere in

I found another way to reproduce this. The FAHBench program. But apparently only when run with double precision. The work thread gets stuck inside exactly the same function

(anonymous namespace)::GCNRegBankReassign::runOnMachineFunction(llvm::MachineFunction&) () at /opt/rocm/opencl/lib/../../lib/libamd_comgr.so.1
