New 5600x and looking into PBO instead of overclocking, but problems before starting.

Hello,

I just got an 5600x and looking into PBO instead of my normal overclocking method.

I set my bios back to default settings, applied my XMP for memory, and fan speeds. I didn't touch anything else but checked to see what PBO was currently set at and it was AUTO.

Decided to run some stress tests/benches with the Auto config for starters but very confused as to what is happening... From my understanding with AUTO it can boost to 4.6ghz as a default.

But as can been seen in the below screenshots, when i run OCCT/Cinebench i'm getting nowhere near 4.6ghz,  while this is happening both Task manager and HWinfo is showing every core only reaching 4.3ghz. So i have no idea of testing to see if i'm making gains while doing PBO/Curve control ?.

Is there any specific test to guarantee it will max my CPU each time, this way I can see if my gains are going up when setting curves and changing the PPT,EDC etc.. ?

I'd imagine it will be hard to get accurate PBO testing moving forward while this is happening.

Thanks for any advice.Screenshot 2023-09-11 040805.pngScreenshot 2023-09-11 041608.pngScreenshot 2023-09-11 041855.png
