Disappointment in Marketing promises

I purchased and AMD 7950x and 7900XTX with the promise of included games from AMD website.  Selected the retailer from AMD site.  No game included and retailer says once I register with AMD it will be sent but no... Everyone wants your money but goes silent when honoring promotions.

Asus was the only company that honored promises.

Hi,

No the advert did not, however, ME are an approved vendor for Canada as per AMD site. The laptop in question includes both the CPU+GPU in the table (7735HS/7600S). They have since amended the advert and provided me with a Starfield key.
Thanks for your detailed response and effort to assist.

The AMD Promotion is for your 7950X processor which start January 2023 and ends in April 2023: https://www.amdrewards.com/terms

Which Retailer did you purchase AMD Processor from?

In the Retailer's ad for AMD Processor does it mention any AMD Promotions? If it didn't then most likely it wasn't a participant in the AMD promotions.

The Retailer is the only one that can give you a game coupon to redeem at AMD Awards site. You need to speak to them about getting the coupon unless you directly purchased the AMD Processor from AMD STORE.

Hello @evanwiley (nice to e-meet you).

In addition to @elstaci response, I wanted to provide you the link to the AMD Rewards Support page: https://www.amdrewards.com/support It could come in handy.

Note, based on your OP, you'll want to click on the "Coupon Code" button.

I'm having trouble with the Starfield promo in Canada. A laptop with both the CPU & GPU inside, from the list on AMD's website, should be eligible for the promotion, however, Memory Express told me that AMD have told them NO LAPTOPS are eligible for the promo. Seems contradictory to say they are on the website, then allow retailers to ignore it at will.

Use the link @Sam_AMD posted above. They'll give you clarification.

Hello, @Stiffon nice to e-meet you. I'm sorry you're having trouble with the Starfield promotion.

I'm going to do my best to help you out, although these types of promotions aren't my expertise.

To be clear, did you purchase a Laptop? If so, which one?

Also, which website are you referring to (AMD or Memory Express)? Can you share the link?

That said, you may contact the AMD Rewards Support page (https://www.amdrewards.com/support) for additional help.

Hi @Sam_AMD ,

Thank you for reaching out. I have since had another conversation with the retailer and they are going to honour the promotion. They maintain they did not receive keys for laptops, but after checking the AMD site (where it shows the CPU/GPU laptop combination are included), they have provided me with a key.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Did the Laptop advertisement mention anything about a AMD Promotion at Memory Express?

If it didn't that would indicate that either the laptop didn't qualify for the AMD Promotion or Memory Express wasn't a Participating Vendor/Retailer otherwise it would have been mentioned.

Went to AMD Rewards Terms & Conditions for the Starfield Promo under "Table B" for Systems Powered by AMD. Your laptop would need to include one of the AMD Mobile Ryzen processors and Mobile GPUs listed in that table. You will need both to qualify:

If possible upload the link showing the laptop you purchased at Memory Express.

Which MemEx was this? The guys at Edmonton South are generally really good about tipping you off about promos and stuff in my experience.
