AMD Zen 4 update today

In case you had not seen it yet. Today was Financial Analyst Day, and they showed this slide about Zen 4 CPUs.

This ZEN4 processor is for the new Motherboard socket AMD5?

Yes, Zen 4 will use socket AM5 and DDR5 exclusively.  AMD has supported socket AM4 since the initial launch of the Ryzen processors, so we got several years of usability.  If you want to upgrade to a Zen 4 processor, you'll need to buy a new motherboard and RAM.  Coolers are still compatible with the new AM5 socket though.

The processors will officially be part of the Ryzen 7000 series.  Zen4=Ryzen 7000
