AMD TERRIBLE NAMING

AMD please come up with better naming, this is confusing as hell. Fire the one who comes up with the naming please. Some AI series, some Max series some 9000 series.... Do we have AMD AIG PRO MAX ULTRA chips in the future?

Those who create things get to name them.  Same goes with those who first discover things.  Haven't you noticed that?

Erheem. Now being real deal.

Naming scheme always followed the market, this is not new and goes back a long way, even to the x86 or the gigahertz war.

Example: If Intel puts out something like Pentium 4 2.0ghz, AMD will follow with the AthlonXP 2000+.

How does this mean following the market? Simple, the 2000+ had much less Mhz but this goes to show buyers that should be an equivalent. But funny story, the AthlonXP 1800+ already beated the Pentium 4 2.0Ghz with just 1533mhz.

For nowdays, Intel is releasing Intel Core 2xx series so AMD went ahead with the 3xx. Makes sense.

But yeah, I get your point, we used to have great names in the industry as graphic cards goes.

3dfx Voodoo, Banshee. Matrox Millennium, Marvel, Parhelia. S3 Trio, Virge and Savage. It would be nice to see that again instead of a bunch of numbers.

hello @www123123

Your frustration is valid—AMD's naming conventions can indeed feel a bit all over the place. A more streamlined and consistent approach would definitely help consumers better understand the product lineup. Hopefully, AMD listens to feedback like yours and simplifies their naming strategy in the future!

They're simple all in all and I like them.
