Hi guys, it's my first post here.
I had an issue when installing the newest AMD drivers. Here's my config first
- AMD FX 8320
- MB ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
- 16GB RAM (4X4) HyperX
- GPU ATI Radeon R9 270 2GB
- OS Windows 7 x64
I know it's an old config but it has been reliable throughout the years. Here's the issue.
I've updated the latest AMD drivers, it worked well for 3-4 days, but when I was playing Assassin's Creed 5 got a black screen.
After resetting the computer, windows did not boot up, I got a black screen in password.
- I was able to boot it up in Safe Mode
- Uninstalled Drivers in Safe Mode. Used DDU and AMD cleanup utility in another attempt. Windows boot up correctly after drivers are uninstalled.
- Tried reinstalling older versions, got the same issue.
- Tried using CCleaner to clear registry, didn't work.
I've seen other people with similar situation in this forum but no one had a solution so far.
