Stutters with Ryzen 5 5600 and RTX 2070 Super
So, I used to have a flawless setup, no stutters, perfect performance, nothing wrong… here’s what it was:
MB: Asus TUF Gaming B550-PLUS WiFi II
RAM: Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan Z 3000 MHz
GPU: GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6600 Eagle 8G
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
PSU: EVGA 550 B5 550W PSU
Then when I upgraded to the GPU- ofc, I had to change the PSU as well so here’s the new setup as of now.
MB: Asus TUF Gaming B550-PLUS WiFi II
RAM: Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan Z 3000 MHz
GPU: GIGABYTE 2070 Super Gaming OC 3X 8G
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
PSU: EVGA 750 GQ 750W Semi-Modular
Ever since I upgraded, I’ve dealt with these awful FPS spikes and I know I did everything right. I used the DDU Uninstaller, I tried with and without overclocking the CPU/RAM, I tried with a fresh install of Windows, I tried using tiny11 to get rid of bloatware, I tried tweaking the settings the NVIDIA control panel, I tried with DOCP and without it, I tried literally taking apart the entire computer and putting it back together to see if I made any small mistakes and I just keep facing these small freezes and FPS drops. Maybe I’m missing something with the control panel or some other small step in BIOS or something- but everything in my setup is indeed new or at least less than a year old. I just wanna run gamed without getting irritated from sudden pauses, from drops and worst of all… stutters…
Please help me :]

Did you have SAM (Smart Access Memory) enabled previously with the RX 6600, and have you verified that Resizable BAR is enabled with the RTX 2070?
You can use GPU-Z, Advanced tab to check.

Ryzen R5 5600 | B550 Gaming Edge | 4x8GB G.Skill 3600 | Radeon RX 6800XT

I don’t think the RTX 2070 Super supports resize bar so I turned it off once I figured out it didn’t work. I did have it on when I had the 6600 tho.
(Sorry about the typos, I meant the RTX 2070 Super)
