I want to suggest that AMD, Nvidia and Intel team up and build their own infrastructure for streaming. That way they can work with all sides of streaming. The hardware on the GPU, the software and the infrastructure where sites like Twitch are stationed.
Today Amazon needs to update their infrastructure in order for Twitch to allow higher bitrate and different codec to stream. And Amazon is the bottleneck here. But if AMD, Nvidia and Intel teamed up on this they could take complete control over the development and its speed of implementation.
Amazon is so behind that their infrastructure is not even adapted for IPv6. Locking out much of the Asian region to the rest of the world.
Competition is good but so is teamwork. And some benefitial collaboration is in need here.
In my book, this is a great idea. I hope you CIO's realize this!
