I have way to avoid that evil when I use google and I see it every day.

but why is recaptcha on this site required for posting and editing messages?

I can not answer because of that evil.

we are not bots and robots I do not understand purpose of it.

The forum behaves weirdly at times.

I'm logged in fine.

Sometimes requires reCAPTCHA. other times does not.

Sometimes you can quote, sometimes you can't.

Tried with Firefox, Edge, Chrome, with cookies and history cleared.

If I am logged in, reCAPTCHA should not be needed.

Even if I edit a post, it will pop up at times, but not all the time.

Just tried to quote part of your post but no luck. However, quote worked earlier for me.
