processor hot at idle

Hi, I have a Ryzen 7800X3D and when idle it doesn't go below 50 or 60 degrees and stays at 4GHz
Isn't there an option to lower the frequency when idle with Curve Shaper?
I think AMD needs to improve consumption when idle a lot still

The 7800X3D base frequency is 4.2GHz. This is the minimum frequency that basic reporting tools such as Windows Task Manager, CPU-Z, etc. will show. If you download Ryzen Master it will show the true frequency that each core is using, and is a more accurate way of monitoring utilization. Ryzen Master also displays temperature and power usage.

Curve Shaper/Optimizer is a voltage adjustment setting, it does not directly control frequency.

What CPU cooler are you using?

Ryzen R7 5700X | B550 Gaming X | 2x16GB G.Skill 3600 | Radeon RX 7900XT
Ryzen R7 5700G | B550 Gaming X | 2x8GB G.Skill 4000 | Radeon Vega 8 IGP
Ryzen R5 5600 | B550 Gaming Edge | 4x8GB G.Skill 3600 | Radeon RX 6800XT

I use a dual-fan air coolermaster
The problem is not the high temperatures that don't even reach 90º
The problem is the temperatures at rest

Ok, you mentioned you want to improve idle power consumption and temperature. Download and install Ryzen Master and open it in Advanced mode. Take a screenshot of Ryzen Master with your PC sitting at idle and post it here.

In the Windows manager or in Aida64 for example it does not go below 3.6GHz

Thanks for posting the screenshot of Ryzen Master.

It indicates there are multiple active processes running, as the cores 0,1,3 & 5 all show utilization. It is obviously not heavily loaded but it is not "idle" or all the cores would be sleeping.

It also shows non-default PBO settings. Power limits have been increased to 1000, Auto OC is enabled, PBO Scaler is turned on and CO is set. Try resetting these to default and check the temp.

In the BIOS settings everything is set to default
The only thing I have set is -300MHz on the CPU

I already set it as default but the PC crashes when I apply it
