I noticed that my power plan will not stop reverting back to balanced. I have tried resetting the profiles and creating custom profiles. This happens without a reboot. I can watch the profiles jump around until finally settling on balanced. Microsoft was no help after having a tech remote in and try troubleshooting, eventually rebooting windows, which seemed like a last stitch effort that did not solve the problem. My Microsoft approach ended with an apology and no resolution. Does anyone have an answer? I have tried just about everything I could find through Youtube and Google searches. I have an x570 Tomahawk, Ryzen 5 3600, Asus Strix 1070, Trident Z ram. This is a new build.

Have you tried  'turn off fast startup'.

I've not heard of 'watch profiles jump around' before ?

Just to clarify, this is about standard windows power plans (not the add-ons), or the additional ryzen power plans.

Wow, that easy after a day of troubleshooting! Thank you so much! And to clarify. Yes, this jumping around would happen on both AMD profiles and windows profiles and custom. Did not seem to matter.
