Pc shuts down after cpu upgrade (5600 on a320)

Spec :

Asrock a320m-hdv r4.0

Ryzen 5 5600

16gb 3200mhz Kingston fury Hyperx

Rx 560xt

My previous cpu is Ryzen 3 3200g it has the same tdp (65watts)

+500w power supply

When i try to play cs2 and pubg the pc shuts down itself then i try to lower the ram speed to 2800mhz

It's stable for a while

Then i open UE5 for my college project when compiling shaders it shuts down itself again

My bios ver is 7.1 right now

I'll try keep lower my ram speed to 2400mhz

It's kinda stable

But still i don't know what caused it to shutdown

Please help

When complete shutdowns with no warning, errors or freezes happen, it usually has one suspect.

Power Supply.

By the look of your specs, you must have a very low tier 500Watt. After you upgrade the CPU, its now possibly tripping it.

Beware, the 65Watt TDP you mention, is not the actual power draw.

I don't want to push you into a brand new PSU purchase but by the looks of it, you may need it. Another thing that i can tell you, an A320 board is not really the best thing in the world for a ZEN4 CPU but it should work.

Try to disable core performance boost, this makes the CPU use less energy, maybe it will help.

You're right my psu is some cheap Korean powerex vacuna. I searched it was about 20$usd

I didn't know this because previously this is a Prebuilt PC

Also when i was able to run cs2 & pubg (with pbo on) it was running fine. I set my power plan to high performance and the cpu WAS at 4.4ghz with 60ish power consumption.

At that time i set my ram to 2400mhz 1.2v cl16, and it runs fine, no shutdown at all

So, yeah thanks for the explanation.
