Good day, I have a problem with 6600XT and flight simulator from Steam. When I start the program the screen locks up black and I don't know how to solve it. The card has never had problems and other programs work. I checked the file consistency and it is ok. I have reinstalled programs, steam, Msfs, Windows and there is no change. Help

Which flavor of FS are you asking about?

Flight Simulator X Steam Edition? As in, the old DirectX 9.0c version?

Or FS 40th Annv Ed? Or FS 2024?

List your system specs. Do they meet the game system requirements?

I encounter the same problem. Changed my video card from GeForce 2060 2 Gb to Sapphire 5700 XT in hope to enhance my experience in MSFS 2020 40 th anniversary Steam latest version 1.37.19.0. I have not been able to fly a single minute. The game loads to the point where I can choose plane and airport then it crashes to desktop.

I did a DDU and updated the BIOS without any results

And I’ve read several posts of people who had the experience as me and tried of all of the suggestions without success. 
most of them turned out to be posted  in 2020/2021
