Hello everyone,
I want to buy a new laptop (my first dedicated personal Linux system - before used it in VMs and on servers). As I am able to use student discounts I am looking into the Lenovo product range.
I am just wondering if I should choose an AMD or Intel CPU as a base. Only obvious downside of AMD I can find is the missing support for Thunderbolt 3/4 which can be an interesting docking option - but for now I only have one external 4K monitor so USB-C should be fine.
Any input which CPU to choose for optimal Linux performance?
