"fatal error: line 198 unreal engine is exiting due to d3d device being lost"

at first i thought maybe the computer just isnt capable of running these games but i tried some games i play on my old laptop with much lower capabilities from about 5 years ago and the same issue occured it freezes the games then error pops up and i have to restart the computer i cant even access the task manager to kill the process.

if someone could help me out with this issue i would be very happy as i just got this computer today and am very disappointed.
