I was wondering if that's the case because I got a little bit of it on the sides of my cpu and a tiny tiny bit on 2 of my cpu pins, I cleaned it off but left some residue.

My pc boots and works fine apparently, I've been using it for about 3 days, but I'm still concerned.

Can I leave it the way it is?

Shouldn't be. Most Thermal Paste are non-conductive unless stated. But there are special types of Thermal paste made with metal which are conductive.

Anyways it is best to try and clean out the paste from the pins and motherboard socket because it could prevent the processor's pins from making contact with the Motherboard's socket.

Need to use 90+ percent alcohol and a cotton swap and very carefully clean out the thermal paste.
