It does create a great philosophical argument: Intel rates the 9900K at 95w, yet it can draw over 150w, and stock BIOS profiles on all but ASUS motherboards are set to ignore the 95w limit. Is it fair to directly compare the chip as rated at stock against AMD, when AMD adheres to their TDP figures? The frequency difference is 15% between 95w and 153w, could it show the comparison between AMD and Intel to be much less in reality?
