The iLok License Manager won't run on my 9900X CPU. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
Since iLok License Manager isn't working, I'm unable to do any music production work (virtual instruments, plugins, DAW, etc.). Cakewalk does launch, but it's extremely slow, lags, and eventually crashes.
When I try to run iLok License Manager, I get "Error 2001." According to the FAQ on the website..It shows the unusual behavior of constantly alternating between 'Running' and 'Stopped' states.
*error2001 FAQ
"1. Open Services: use Search (F3 or Win+S) and type services, then select Services.
2. Right-click PACE License Services on the Services list and choose Properties from the pop-up menu.
a. If the service is running, contact Support for further assistance."
I've seen other 9900X and 9950X users on Reddit experiencing similar issues. I hope this problem gets resolved soon.

The iLok License Manager should work on AMD Zen 5 processors. If it’s not running on your 9900X CPU, try:
For persistent issues, contact iLok support for assistance.
Hello!
Same issue here.
I have built a new PC with a Ryzen 9 9950X CPU and an ASRock X670E Taichi motherboard.
My DAW is FL Studio.
The plugins that use and that require iLok activation is Flatline & Flatline 2.
I get the same error: 2001.
I have exchanged e-mails with the technical support teams of: Image-Line (FL Studio), iLok (PACE), and SubMission Audio (Flatline).
We have tried every hack & reset possible.
In the end, nothing solved the issue.
The iLok team even sent me a patch that made iLok License Manager work, however Flatline became invisible in FL Studio.
So, it didn't solve anything.
After all, SubMission Audio sent me an e-mail in which they have said that there is a bug in AMD's Zen 5 microarchitecture.
So, there's nothing that we can do right now, except waiting for a microcode patch, which AMD should release.
I hope this clarifies the situation...
Yes.
But, buying programs and not being able to use them is unacceptable!
SubMission Audio and other software companies, that rely on iLok for activation, should offer alternative activation methods!
A cracking keygen, a patch file, or anything else!
We cannot be at the mercy of AMD, PACE, or any other software company, when we're paying for stuff!
AMD gave a response to the problem:
AGESA 1.2.0.2A firmware will solve the iLok issue.
New BIOSes, containing this new AGESA firmware, are expected to arrive in november 2024.
Hello!
I have received a new beta BIOS from ASRock's support center, via e-mail, which contains AMD's AGESA 1.2.0.2a firmware.
Since updating the BIOS, I was able to activate plug-ins that activate through iLok.
The plug-ins & the iLok License Manager are working properly now.
