I'm using two monitors: Dell S2422HG - 165 Hz (Main display - DP connection) and an older Acer V173 - 75 Hz but running at 60 Hz (Secondary display - using an HDMI to VGA adapter).
My GPU is 6700 XT Sapphire Pulse.
I've been reading about everyone's idle power draw issues and how supposedly this last driver update fixed a lot of them. But, I'm still perplexed about mine and I had a couple of questions.
I'm getting 30-35W power draw at idle. but if I drop my main display's refresh rate from 165 down to 144, the power draw drops down to normal levels as well (9-10W).
Now, I'm aware that all 165 Hz displays are just factory overclocked 144 Hz ones, but should the extra 21 FPS really be the culprit for my GPU Memory clock speed spiking up to max (hence triple the amount of power draw), or are the drivers still borked?
