Crashes on 144hz new monitor

Summary of issue:

I upgraded from a 60hz 1080p monitor to an acer (XV282KV) and since then I am getting crashes in all the games I tried (Guardians for the Galaxy, CP2077, Dota 2) after a few minutes. I also ran OCCT to test the GPU and it also crashed. The funny thing is that the only game that runs properly is League of Legends..

What I have tried:

- I turned off all extra settings on my monitor, even HDR.

- Disabled Free sync.

- Disabled Surface Format Optimization.

- Disabled MPO.

- Ran AMD Cleanup Utility.

- Reinstalled Adrenaline.

- Disabled all Adrenaline features.

- Disabled Motherboard GPU

- Undervolt.

- Overclock.

System Specifications:

  • Operating System: Windows 11 22H2, OS Build 22621.1702

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core Processor 4.50 GHz

  • GPU: XFX SPEEDSTER MERC 310 AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Black Edition Adrenaline Version 23.5.2

  • Motherboard: B650 Aorus Elite AX BIOS F3h

  • RAM: Crucial VENGEANCE® 32GB (2x16GB)

  • Storage: 1TB WD Black SN779 (x2)

  • PSU: 1000W Gigabyte P1000GM

  • Display: Acer XV282K KV, Samsung S23C350, Dell SE2717H/HX

I also would like to add that I tried under volting and ran occt. The GPU drew a maximum of 489w..

I would really appreciate some help. This has been driving me crazy.

Hey guys,

So thanks for the replies I appreciate it!
What I did and actually worked was turning off ram profile from 6000 to 4800
And I'm considering buying a new ram kit for my system.

For starters, update your motherboards BIOS to latest

Make sure you have the latest AM5 chipset drivers installed from AMD.com

Check for firmware updates form your SSD(s)

..then go from there

That being said, Gigabyte doesn't have the greatest track record with their PSU's .. mainly the 850/750wtt variants though

Try use 22.11.2 version.

I get this crash on Dota 2 using DirectX11, when change to vulkan, crash gone. Newer version broke directx11. so try older version like 22.11.2
