Hey guys, I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT sitting on an X570 AORUS Pro board with 32GB of RAM and a GeForce RTX 2060. A month or so back I decided to finally update to Windows 11, and since then I have had some major lag issues. It almost seems as though Google Chrome and Adobe Photoshop are fighting like cats and dogs for resources and when I have both open the computer goes from super zippy to very slow. For instance, moving a browser window (any browser) from 1 monitor to the other can take up to 5 seconds, and in that time it appears stuck in one spot, then snaps over to the other. It was never like that on Windows 10 and was always super fast. Even now if I have the resource monitor open when it's "freezing" the CPU, Memory, and Disk are not spiking or even changing at all. With Chrome, Photoshop, and Indesign all open (and a couple other microsoft programs running) my memory is still below 60% usage, with around 18-20% CPU usage.
I have run memory diagnostics, cleared all temp files and caches, every driver is up to date for the hardware, and I even swapped memory slots just in case. I can't seem to find out what the deal is, and whether or not the motherboard, CPU, or RAM is having the issue.
One thing I did notice after some digging the first few weeks is that some of the GigaByte programs that were installed were no longer there and I had to reinstall them. It didn't seem to change anything, but they should never have disappeared.
I did delete Chrome and all my Adobe products and things were smooth, but after reinstalling them they seem to be trouble again. but then again, with those uninstalled, I didn't really have much on the computer to run.
Anyways, has anyone had any type of issues similar to this, or any ideas of things I can try to see where the problem may lie?
