I’m a school nurse in NJ state. One of the most critical and time-consuming duties in the schools is keeping track of student health records and other documentation. Recently, I came across many resources that say that the future of electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) is bright because it will allow school nurses and other healthcare providers to provide better care for patients with less effort. Can anyone tell me what it takes to build one? Or should I go for any Electronic Health Records software for school nurses available online like the one I just saw when searching on Google? Does anyone here have any thoughts on this?
