In ASUSs latest update, they added a new unlock option for the Athlon 200 series...But it's not an overclock option, it's to unlock PCIe lanes:

From the TechPowerUp article:

That would add considerable capabilities to these chips having an extra 8 PCIe 3.0 lanes, enabling the unusable PCIe and M.2 slots.

AFAIK the low cost Athlon being Zen based is not such a bad product, it can handle low to mid range video cards too

I like the CPU for its low power profile when idle, which makes a machine lower cost to operate when in a rack idling for the next user to log-on
