Hey guys,

I just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar setup and had done some mods to help with the temps and fan speeds. I currently have a 5600X installed with the stock cooler. I have removed the front support bar for fan mounting and kept it in stock fan config (2 exhaust fans). I notice that the fans ramp up during startup due to NZXT cam software and then normalize. But I regularly see temps around 70-75C during regular web browser use (youtube, etc with 10-12 tabs open). 

I'm wondering what could be possible steps to improve temps? Does drilling hole in the front panel and then having two more intake fans help? or should I get pressure optimized fans and if they would make a difference. I know getting a better cooler would help but the fan speeds may be a concern. An AIO for 5600x would be an overkill I suppose. Its paired with a 1440p monitor.

Does that mean you only have 2 exhaust fans at the moment and no intake fans?

Yup, because that's the default config of the case, ie, negative pressure.

Try setting up your fans to have neutral or positive pressure. maybe one intake fan at the front of the case, and one exhaust at the top (near the back), or at the back.

I'm currently using a 5600 non x and it's idling at about 50C. My fan setup is 3 fans on the front as intake, 1 exhaust at the top, 1 exhaust at the back.

That seems high....

Leave the case open next time to see how more air on it works. If there is a significant jump it could be air flow.

If not, then you may want to reseat and paste the fan again.
