AMD Ryzen 5 4600U does it have virtualization?

Hi, I want to run Proxmox in a virtual environment (vmware/virtualbox) to test a vm setup however it would seem they can not detect the virtualization instructions set. It does show up in bios as SVM however it's not detected in the above mentioned programs or CPU-z. The machine is a laptop "System SKU LENOVO_MT_82A2_BU_idea_FM_Yoga Slim 7 14ARE0". Any ideas on what's going on ?

According to WikiChip on the 4600U processor: https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/ryzen_5/4600u

Note: AMD-V is the same as SVM.

Make sure you have Hyper-V enabled in Windows 10/11.

Which version of Windows does your laptop have installed?

EDIT: Here are Oracle VirtualBox instructions on how to set up a VM on your PC: https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/topics/Introduction.html#create-vm-wizard

Hi, thanks for the answer, however I have already checked the bios and  it is enabled (I am asking my self if there is a hidden advanced bios but so far I don't know). in CPU-z I am only seeing about half these instructions and that includes AMD-v. I have windows 10 Home .. maybe this is the issue ? cpu-z-amd-v.PNG

Windows 10 Home doesn't have Hyper-V.

Only Windows 10/11 Pro and above has Hyper-V feature.

If you need Hyper-V to create a VM then that is your problem.  Windows 10 Home doesn't have the Hyper-V feature so no virtualization.

I am not sure but I believe you can download and install Hyper-V feature for Windows Home but you will need to google it to find it.

Best is to upgrade your Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro version.
