AMD Launches Athlon 220GE and 240GE for $65 and $75

Looks like there's no chance of unlocking them like the 200GE.

The 200GE is the real winner here in my opinion.

With the potential for OC'ing, albeit not supported, all the other specs are identical.  Mainly this would be an ideal CPU for everyday basic usage and very light gaming.

I would agree, but moreso because it's the cheapest option, and with the only difference being 200mhz or 300mhz, the speed difference between the three is negligible, and the TDP makes it great for HTPCs. Also when you look at the 240 for $75, you're getting dangerously close to the much more capable 2200G for regular desktop applications.

AMD is likely to sell lots of Athlons given the low price and adequate integrated graphics
