Why AMD does not sponsor the IWOCL conference?

It's the biggest conference about OpenCL, SYCL, etc

I follow this conference on Twitter and as AFAIK there has not been a big response 

Kronos is the largest open source operation there for the conference but Intel is the only tech co there at present

Sponsors are Intel, Kronos, Codeplay, Universities, etc.

I think it's a pity to miss it.

Given its over in Germany does not help due to the hotel costs etc. Most conferences have moved to lower cost areas.

Hi,  We try to keep the costs as low as possible by working with a local University. This year we are partnering with TUM (the Technical University of Munich) and holding the event at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre, which is just outside of Munich.  We are currently working on some discounted room rates at local hotels and will publish these shortly.  It would be great to have AMD participate and we always ask. We have some great sponsorship packages and they have an office in Munich
