Starting with system specs:
ASUS TUF X670E PLUS WIFI
Ryzen 7 7700X with 360mm AIO
RX 7900 XTX
2x2 TB M.2 SSDs
2x16GB 6000MHz DDR5 RAM
4K OLED Monitor
Ever since I built this system about 2 years ago I've experienced varying degrees of game crashes, HDR flickering, dropped frames, stuttering, system crashes, boot issues, etc. On top of the stability problems, I also have been looking at benchmarks for my video card and I'm sometimes losing 20% on average for the games I'm playing. FPS games don't feel smooth at all and when I move my mouse quickly my fps cuts in half. Sometimes games crash so much or are performing so poorly that they are not playable.
Bottom Line, I'd like to go back to the basics and make sure my system is configured properly for better performance and stability.
What are some optimal or recommended settings for my setup when it comes to
- BIOS
- Windows
- AMD Adrenaline Software
- Hardware + Build
If you have any advice, knowledge, or best practices about any of these I would love to hear it, no matter how small.
Thank you for reading this and I look forward to hearing from you.
