Greetings,
I am new here. Amongst very few other things, I am attempting to speed up CPU 3D rendering.
I started using Ryzen Master to give me meters to “see” temperatures, yet found (for the most part) the power like EDC to be a standout.
Still learning to navigate this, yet it seems like the goal is to create harmony of amongst the meters.
Thus, to bring the the Mhz of the the processor cores up requires, well, it requires all that it does.
Sensing… One needs temperature headroom.
Yet CPU socket power is a big deal in the way that it is.
Observations: In a 4 hour 3D render, except for the beginning, the meters are “fairly stable”.
I am using 4 computers with 4 processors. 5900X, 5900, 5900, 5800X.
I am rendering more or less the same scene with very minor changes. Four computers allow me to see via the “meters” what tends to make a difference or not.
Three of the computers have the same type of motherboard and one is different.
All are liquid cooled. I added a 360 liquid cooler to one of the computers and it made quite a difference!
Yet all are hitting 100% on the EDC?
Um? What creates that limit/boundary/situation?
How is that resolved?
I am a real person with a real question. And no, I am not the droid you are looking for!
