What games did you get stuck on for the longest?

I remember getting stuck on Street Fighter two for years then I got stuck on Unreal Tournament for years and then since 2017 it's been Brawlhalla. There have been of course games that never went away like Rocket League, Red Alert, Civilization etc but those three games held my attention for extended periods of time.

Not stuck but Stuck'ish. Took quite a long long long time, finishing Doom 2 from 1994 in Nightmare. Never again i faced a challenge like that. Its pure madness of NO MERCY!

Remember, Doom 2 original had no jump, no look up or down and strafe needed the ALT key pressed together with A or D.

Monsters respawn and never stop coming.

So its literally RUN or get stuck and die.

This is true, it was truly fun and addictive. Duke Nukem 3d was another one- Dang that was a brilliant game too.

I would say Minecraft since I streamed it for 5 years, but thinking back I've played other games longer. I've played Cities Skylines since its release and have put thousands of hours in. Before that was Sim City 4 that I've played since I was a kid.

Minecraft was  good, but after you build something monumental, to me its like I am not going to top that Skyscraper- i pat myself on the back and never looked back. I made two huge skyscrapers with a reflection pond and a casino, a football stadium and side buildings. Then realized it was just me jumping around by myself with my block head then gave up.

Animal Crossing, AC: City Folk and AC: New Horizons. I still haven't beat ANY of them! The games are just to hard! 😉

To expand on that a little; I started playing Animal Crossing on the GameCube with my mom. All of my sisters (who had their own families and GameCubes) all eventually started playing too. They'd bring their memory cards to our house and we'd ride the train back and forth to visit each other.

I eventually moved onto the Wii version and much later the Switch version. Each time I left a village it was heart breaking. As strange as it may sound saying goodbye to the villagers I had come to know and love was really difficult.

I don't play anymore, but after playing an hour or so a day everyday for 21+ years it's safe to say I got stuck on the franchise.

I have never played before, sounds scary addictive! I may have to refrain from that one... I can't believe it's been around that long, time flies!

It was very addictive! Sadly time gets away from us all. If only I could play my GameCube again for the first time.

Final Fantasy 7, I was stuck on disc 1 of 4 on the Playstation!

Stuck as in, I've played a game for a long period of time/it keeps me coming back - it would easily be World of Warcraft. I've played that game off and on every expansion since 2005.

Now stuck as in... this game is hard; I'm stuck! It would likely be Elden Ring for a variety of reasons... (bosses).

I would be in the same boat as @Wally_AMD , World of Warcraft had a hold on me for the longest time out of any of the games I have ever played.

I used to play CS 1.6 forever, and I played both Battlefield 4 and MW2 (2009) from Launch day to well into the following game.

In terms of getting stuck. I never finished Final Fantasy 9 because I got stuck on some Boss.

Counter strike, how could I forget that gem. I purposely never played WOW so I wouldn't disappear forever. I liked the MW1. It was so revolutionary And the cut scene on helicopter gave me goosebumps. I never got into battlefield, it's like there is so much of a skill gap, wake up dead....wake up dead..i never got lucky in BF.

One of my oldest friends and I still play Battlefield V - we love the chaos/destructive environments. 2042 was a big miss for us...

For me, it is Civilization V, I have so many hours on it and I come back so often.......after that it is Warcraft 3 and sadly World of Tanks at last.

However, I do enjoy Empire at War somewhat regularly and Battle for Middle Earth.

Civilization games are good. My favorite (due to being more simplistic) is CIV2 but I have civ5. Good game, thing about that game is you can start in afternoon and blink and it is super late at night. It's amazing.

For me, it's War Thunder. Been at it since 2012.

Performance over Pretty.

Looks fun. Is it free? Looked like it may be when I went to site, is it in game purchases?

F2P with in game purchases. I bought about $25 worth of premium time about 10 years ago when they had a sale. Haven't spent on it since.

Performance over Pretty.

Absolutely that counts. Intense, just looked up the game looks real cool. Are servers still busy, do you play on PC?

yeah, PC, on USWest servers. It's a "frustratingly good time" 😋

Oh man, It was The Witcher. Had to be last fight as well.

I was saved in a bad spot where I had to Immediately dodge, take a potion, arm the silver sword, and dodge again. Stopped playing it for almost a year, went back to it, and beat it after a few tries.

You know a game I find impossible and could only beat like two super simple maps.---CUPHEAD. So friggin frustrating. The whole dang game.

I am still playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete edition. (All the maps and the campaigns on the hardest level have my attention still)

I tried to Black Border every map on Bloons TD 6. However, after seeing that I had over 700 hours of playtime in less than 6 months; I had to quit cold turkey. I have no intentions of reinstalling 😛

I have over 1500 hours in Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox, and roughly 1500 more on PC.

Word of warning if you mover from Xbox to PC in that specific game, you keep nothing but your account name. All DLC you have to purchase again, and all the characters you have on Xbox don't carry over to PC.

I haven't played in a while but it was a wild ride. The community is what made it so much fun.
