Is my 5700XT defective or am I an idiot?

I got my computer last November, and up until around April, everything was running perfectly. Ever since April, Fallout 4 and Skyrim wouldn't recognize my video card. For other games, my computer flashes a black screen and they drop in quality and frames. AMD doesn't know how what's wrong or how to help, and my pc is no longer covered by HP warranty. Am I screwed until the GPU shortage is over or is there a fix and I'm just dumb?

I have a Sapphire Pulse 5700 XT and I was going to send this thing back due to the issues that me and several people have had with it, in which the card and/or drivers are unstable and have problems like black screens, stuttering, etc.

@Wease hello there! Please read the following:

this post:
RX 5700 XT - crash types and reasons - AMD Community

this entire thread/topic
RX 5700 XT - general overclock info - AMD Community

After reading these and hopefully understanding the issues,
look up your rated boost clocks here and try them with 1100 mV (P3 boost state)

Make sure your hotspot temp stays below 90°C.
