Gaming in 2024

It’s 2025. Gaming has been in a pretty good place for most of us. Of course, there have been some massive flops. Concord existed for a little while. Veilguard was one of the games ever made. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League underwhelmed a few thousand people. Skull and Bones sank to the bottom of the gaming ocean as Ubisoft’s first quadruple A game, and Lego Horizon Adventures didn’t do well.

That being said, we had some absolute bangers launch this year. We got Black Myth: Wukong, with a souls like combat style that also feels kind of like a hack and slash game. We got Stellar Blade. Helldivers 2 is just an awesome co-op experience. Palworld, while controversial, is just super fun. Elden Ring’s new DLC is said to be an awesome experience, by most of my friends and the rest of the internet.

So many awesome games either fully released or went into early access, that I can’t even begin to scratch the surface.

Right now, I am mainly fooling around on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer, and enjoying Marvel Rivals.

What have you all been playing, and how do the games and content released in 2024 stack up with you? Did any releases surprise you in any way?

Gaming industry is moving towards a strange direction, but as always, with everything in business.
The product success is determined by the community, in this case, the ones who buy and game.

Having said that, this year was a complete miss for me, didn't had the time to game as the year before.

I just played NES because it was the fastest thing on the house to hop in&out.

That is fair. Any specific NES titles that you particularly enjoyed?

I've been playing World of Tanks Blitz.  It's a game that runs in 7 minutes sequences with seven players on each side.  It doesn't stress out my wrist like first person shooters do.  I do love this game.

I never tried Blitz. I might give it a go.

It's fun if you like tank warfare.  I never wanted to be cannon bait on the battlefield myself.
