What is the general consensus?
Should I have Game Mode turned on or off in Windows.
My PC Specs:

You know, I have never even thought about this for a second. I would definitely be interested to hear people's opinion on this.
To be honest, never used it at home.
At work however, yes. Just because I don't have nothing to record the screen installed 😛 And its a common advice I give for people to record the screens as regular users won't be able to install anything.
NOW, After Trying at home
Well, it looks funny and it has some cool widgets to play with, including Armoury Crate from ASUS but, I'm not seeing this to be put to good use.
Win+G right? Yeah, my Claymore gaming profile disables the Win key...
Wait, @cpurpe91 do you mean the Windows Game Bar, or do you mean Game Mode?
Ok, I messed up... I thought it was the Game Bar instead.
The Game Mode, let me check on that BRB 😛
Yeah I meant Game Mode not Game Bar. I am not 100% sure if there is a purpose for Game Mode and I remember reading not to use it, but have things changed?
I personally use Game Bar to connect to old buddies from Xbox but otherwise Game Bar doesn't really serve a purpose for me.
Ok, after a quick testing of the thing. (BTW it was on by default, who knew..)
I didn't see any effect. But Ill do a more detailed frame time test too.
The Game mode should de-prioritizes important background processes but it can also de-prioritize a process like ASUS GPU Tweak or Nvidia Game Boost. Even Armoury Crate, thus resulting in unwanted stuff to happen.
The only thing I saw is AURA Sync worked much better with Game Mode OFF, I had some glitches with Armoury Crate profiles, but not always.
So that's it. More testing soon.
Didn't made any difference to me.
Thanks for the testing! It's sometimes scary when you see some of those default Windows settings. lol
I have it on, but frankly I haven't seen any difference with it off vs on.
I keep it off.
